Meet Cat and Michael, co-owers of the Brooklyn Vintage Company, which opened its new location on June 1st. Previously they had a pop-up shop inside a shipping container at a local outdoor market. They decided to move to their new location at 194 Irving Avenue because they wanted to expand their offerings to include vintage housewares and period furniture.
Both of them decided to stay in Bushwick after spending six months looking around Brooklyn for the right spot. They had searched in places like Williamsburg, Park Slope and Bedstuy, but chose their new location because of the history of the building and the quaintness of the neighborhood. In its previous life, the building used to be a sewing needle factory.
The mission statement of the Brooklyn Vintage Company is to provide affordable great vintage products. They want to be one of the leaders in the vintage business offering their clients the best quality at a good price!
Although they do not reside in Bushwick, Cat and Michael love being here. They enjoy the family feel of the neighborhood.
When they are not working, Cat and Michael love hanging out at Doc Asian Bistro, Variety Coffee and Milk and Pull.
In the near future they want to plant more flowers in their space.
